The smokey eye is a classic. But, many of you, don't know how to do it correctly. I'm here to help with this simple tutorial.

Apply primer to you eyelids, this helps the eye shadow last longer.

Apply a light, neutral base color all over your eyelids. This color can depend on what color your smokey eye will be, for instance it is best to use a plain brown for a natural smokey eye, and a grayish-coal if you're getting a black smokey eye.

Add a lighter shadow to the crease of your eye, the area above the eyelid.

Apply a darker shadow right across your lash line ( think of the area in which you apply eyeliner)

Apply black eyeliner, you can do a cat eye if you want, you'll just have to wing out your eye shadow as well.

TIP -
Its best to use some sort of nuetral transistion color, you apply that in between the dark and light shadows. The perfect smokey eye is about knowing where to apply light, dark, and medium shadow, the example below will help you know where that is.
